
Carol Lynley, born Carole Ann Jones on February 13, 1942, and passed away on September 3, 2019 She was an American actress , best well-known for her roles in Blue Denim (1959), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was the daughter of an Irish father and an Irish father and a New England mother. After starting her career as an actress, she was a child model. She was awarded the Theatre World Award in 1956-57 for her performance in The Potting Shed. Lynley began her film career in 1958 with her debut in the Disney film The Light in the Forest. Her next film was Holiday for Lovers (1959) and Blue Denim (1959). In her movie The Light in the Forest Lynley received a nomination in 1959 to the Golden Globe Award. In the following year she was again nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer Female for the movie Blue Denim.
