Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney, born on the 19th November in 1959 in America is an American actress. Her appearances on screen and the stage have been an integral part of her career , which has spanned thirty years. Janney received nominations for two Tony Awards and has been recognized with the Academy Award as well as the British Academy Film Award. Janney was raised between Dayton and Boston with her parents, earned a scholarship through the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art for her to study further after having graduated from Kenyon College. After a few years of marginal and insignificant appearances on TV and films, Janney's breakthrough came with the role of C. J. Cregg in The West Wing, an NBC the political show The West Wing (1999-2006), for which she received Four Primetime Emmy Awards. For her portrayal of Margaret Scully, a Showtime actress in"Masters of Sex," a period television drama Masters of Sex, Janney took home this year's Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.
