Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress who was born and brought up within Orange County. At the age of 5 she emigrated from Morocco to California. She earned her degree in the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015. This was the same year she got her big break in acting. Pernas began her acting career by playing minor roles on NCIS and Leverage. The Young and the Restless gave Pernas the part of Marisa. After leaving soap opera in the year 2016, she landed the role of a regular in Jane the Virgin as Catalina. The actress who is multi-lingual has appeared in The Brave, The Green Ghost, and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Pernas was the character Lexi Vaziri on Blood & Treasure between 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas is engaged to Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. This romance began in the month of May, 2020 following Pernas' broke up with her husband Chrishell Stause. Pernas Hartley and Pernas Hartley were married secretly in May of 2021.
